7/1/2010LEARN FIRST AID - LEARN TO SAVE LIVES
By Danny Courtney:
When you volunteer with St Andrew’s First Aid you enter a world of new opportunities and experiences: Learn vital life-saving skills and help others to do the same. It is an opportunity to be part of a team that will make a difference to people’s lives and make a positive contribution to your community So why not get involved? We can teach you First Aid skills that could save a life, help to deal with an emergency and make a real difference in your community. • Attend regular public duties at Celtic Park, Ibrox, Hampden and other venues.• Attend major public duties such as T in the Park or major golf tournaments at Loch Lomond or duties at the O2 Academy.• Learn new skills such as Radio Communications or Defibrillation.• Participate in major incident exercises, or casualty simulation. There are a large number of Companies which operate throughout Scotland. Volunteers provide First Aid cover to various events and venues. The Corps is split into 13 separate executive committees, each overseeing companies within their area of responsibility. Interested? If you would like to join or if you would like more information about First Aid courses, or would like us to provide assistance at an event please contact us via email: glasgowexec@firstaidclass.org.uk Alternately contact us on 0141 880 9060.
